Magnolia wilsonii is named after Ernest Wilson who collected seed in 1908 from western China.  It is a large spreading shrub which bears scented,  pendant, saucer shaped white flowers with crimson stamens in late May, early June.

All flowers were organically grown, picked from my garden and photographed in my studio.
